This hotel is a beautiful flower in an area that is undergoing some construction. The hotel itself is a nearly new gleaming tower about 30 stories high located about 10-15 minutes walkable distance from the shanghai Railway Station and subway. There are numberous restuarants on the other side of the railway tracks while not a lot of eating options in the vicinity of the hotel itself. A very decent buffet breakfast and high speed internet was included in the room price. Being a new hotel, the rooms were very clean and modern. Remember that this hotel is on the back side of the Shanghai Railroad Station but if you check a map, you should have no problem finding the property. I walked with my luggage from the RR station subway to the hotel no problem. There was a subway station a little closer (8 minute walk) to this hotel than the RR subway station. In all, you will like this hotel if you don't mind a short walk to the Subway.

  • Avoid this Hotel!

I have to say that my experience at this hotel was terrible...not only was the hotel away from the city center but the subway is a loooong distance from the hotel- if you can even find the subway! There are no restaurants around this hotel so you must walk half a mile down the street to hail a taxi. In front of the hotel they are doing construction, so the side walks are all unpaved and dugged up. Taxi's are not allowed to drive down this street so you must walk about half a mile to get to the hotel dragging your bag through gravel, dirt and street traffic!! And if it is raining like it was for the whole 2 days I was there, then you must walk through the muddy streets. When I was leaving, I asked the front desk if they could called me a taxi and they told me to walk down to the end of the street and get my own! I was outraged especially since it was raining and everything was muddy outside. I would not reccommend this hotel to anyone. If possible pay a little more and stay at the Holiday Inn downtown- which is closer to the subway, restaurants and shops.
